Happy Bella Friday!!

This month has just flown by hasn't it?  I can't believe it is week four of the Bella Babe search.  Today is the final entry in the search for the new babe.  It was an anything goes challenge.

I must tell you I am still having an aweful time taking a picture that does the card justice.  It looks so much better in person.  I used Little Peeps Flower Vase - I'm am just lovin these little peeps!!  Isn't she precious??  I colored it with copics and paper pieced her dress and bow.  Shaded around the image with pencils and gamsol and used a little glossy accents on the vase.

I hand punched and colored the flowers, the rhinestones and pearls were added to the centers to give the flowers a little bling.  Make sure to stop by the bella blog and check out all the other creation this week. Hugs xooxo

 

Off to PA

Good Morning!  I have another crochet project to share with you today.  I am in full baby swing these days as I have friends multiplying like rabbits!! lol.  No, really I love to crochet baby items in between paper crafting.  Here is another blankie I just finished.

I love yellow..isn't it such a cheery color?  I wanted to post this before heading out.  I'm off for another 8 hour drive to Northeastern PA to help my mother this week.  I will be driving back on Friday.  Speaking of Friday don't forget to check out all the final projects submitted for the Bella Babe Challenge.  One of those lucky girls will be the next babe!!  Have a wonderful week and I'll see you back here on Friday.  Happy Crafting :)

 
 
 

Paula's Sketch

Today's Bellarific Friday challenge is a sketch by Paula.

So I couldn't wait to get started!  Don't know why but this week I have cupcakes on my mind.  Have you ever been to Just Baked?  It is a cupcake shop and there are several locations here in the Detroit Metro area.  YUMMY!  SO I went with it.  This card reminds me of a super sweet cupcake with the frilly lacy paper.

 

 There is quite a bit of work that I put into this sweet creation.  Coco has a Cupcake was colored with copics.  The Dp is Nook and Pantry by Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill.  I used the diamond embossing folder by quickcutz then stitched through the groves to accent the diamond pattern.  The intersection dots are created with red stickles.  Martha Stewarts Modern Garland edge punch was used on the pink cardstock which is set off with brown cardstock behind and yellow in front.  I just purchased the new Spellbinder Diamond Nestabilities at the stamp show in Novi a few weeks ago so this sketch gave me the perfect chance to use it.

What a Weekend

I was meaning to post yesterday but my grandkids were staying with me and didn't leave until late last night.  Nana was pooped after 3 very active days!  I did get to break away for a few hours on Saturday to attend Shannon's wedding.  It was so beautiful especially the bride.

I finished a project I was working on for a very dear friend.  I crocheted a baby blanket and finished it last Thursday only to have a text that baby Natalia was born very early Friday morning.

 

I find it so hard to photograph my blankets in a way that do them justice.  I'm off now to work on some cards for this week!  Happy Craftin!!   

 
 

Bella Friday Bling

This weeks challenge was Bling!  I needed a Wedding Card for my good friend Shannon.  She is getting married tomorrow.  So I decided to use Together Forevah.

I colored up the image with copics, added some glitter and dusted the edges with distressed ink.  I embossed foil paper - it doesn't photograph well but it looks great in person.

 

I've got a busy weekend with my grandchildren and Shannon's wedding but I will be back Sunday with a new project.

Happy Anniversary

Today is my anniversary.  Plus I'm heading out in a few minutes to the stamp show in Novi, MI, yeah!  My hubby is so sweet to me.  He loves getting home made cards but he insists on no girls frills.  I'm getting better at it.  Here is the card I made for him.

I just love these manga images and had to have this little golfer.  I colored this up with my copics and highlighted it with distressed inks.  The grass is colored pencils and I finally used my cloud stencils that I got from Paula.  The lettering is done with my cricket.  I added some stitching and there you go!  Gotta run and spend some money hehe.. have a great weekend!

Paper Dolls

Happy Friday!  This week just flew by, but then it seems time keeps flying by the older I get.  I can't believe it's August already!!  I'm planning on fully enjoying what is left of summer.

This weeks challenge over at Bella land was paper piecing.  Not such an easy thing to do, but I love a challenge.  I received this wonderful display box for my birthday from a very dear friend.  I had it propped up in my craftroom next to my desk just waiting for a project.  When this weeks theme was announced I decided right then I was going to use this box.  Did you ever have a good idea come to you and you played and played with the layout cause you knew what you wanted but just couldn't get it right?? That is what happened to this one.  I wanted to use the Ketto's and thought about using 12 different images.  I love all the Ketto's but mixing the kimono girls with the little winged girls just wasn't working for me.  So I decided to just use the little kimono girls and duplicated images.

I just love the Basic Grey 6x6 paper pads!!  I had so much fun dressing these little girls up!  I have dozens of left over outfits trying to decide which ones I liked best.

Shannon's Sentiments Challenge

Hello!  I know I hinted at some big news.  A very good friend of mine, Shannon, has decided to start her own digital stamp company!  When she asked if I would make some cards for her, I said gladly.  You can read all about her first challenge here.

This week is a color chaIlenge pink, green and yellow.  I used her rose image on this card.  The DP is Basic Grey's Porcelin Paper Pad.  The image is colored with copics edges dusted with Tim Holtz distress ink.
