I am definitely a novice at blogging and cardmaking. I'm working on getting better though! I am so lucky to have worked with Paula and to have her introduce me to this amazing cardmaking community.
I've decided to use this post to give away some blog candy. This is candy with a purpose. Cause I'm too new to blogging and haven't hit any milestones yet, I thought I would give something in return for your help.
I am a member of Soldiers' Angels and have been for a little over two years. I help when I can, mostly by making and sending blankets to the wounded. But there are many groups in this organization and one of them is the Cards Plus Team which I recently joined. Their mission is to send cards to either a soldier or a family member. Our team is given all the sending info but the postage and cards are our responsibility. Handmade cards are best (of course), but little ol me could in no way come close to making what we need...that's where you come in. Trust me the need is great and it is amazing how a simple letter or card can make a huge difference.
So to be eligible all you have to do is send me a card. It can be for any occasion ~ kids birthday, adult birthday, sympathy, just because..really any card that you might have made. The only request is that the card have no embellishments..they need to be relatively flat to go through the postal equipment.
Here's the candy....
There is approximately $200 worth of goodies.
Stamps: Stamping Anya, Greeting Farm; Dancing Willow, Whiff of Joy; Tilda with spring bundler, Magnolia; Tabitha the teacup girl, Stamping Bella; Blossom, Sugar Nellie; Heart Stripes, My Favorite Things; Tina Wenke mouse in hammock, Stampavie; Gwendolyn, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
Pattern Paper: Five 6x6 pads, (2)Memorybox, Pinkpaislee, BasicGrey, and Cosmo Cricket.
Organizer, 8x8 scrapbook, envelopes, zip dry, wackytac, cuttlebug folder, brilliance coffee bean ink pad, 3 copic markers (0, E00, E0000), Scor-it sliding ruler, gems and flowers.
How to Enter
1) Send me an email for my mailing address
2) Place a comment on this post once you have sent a card
2) If you link this post on your blog you can place a second comment with the word "link" and your blog address for an additional chance to win!
All my friends are welcome as I will ship worldwide.
I will keep this open until May 14th, the winner will be announced on May 15th
Thank You and Good Luck!

Mary,
Cards for soldiers has been a project near and dear to my family's hearts. My brother and best friend's nephew recently served time overseas and my nephew is currently on his second term. I know how important it is for our armed forces to receive correspondence from family as well as from other Americans. They appreciate every act of passion and kindness. I am happy to link your blog post to mine and have done so here...http://craftycath.blogspot.com/2010/04/cards-for-soldiers-and-blog-candy.html
Good Luck with your efforts!
